Water filter housing.

I have a Sierra 5th wheel 376BHOK, and I can't seem to get the water filter housing off to put a filter in there. I tried pushing up and twisting it, but I don't want to break it. Any ideas?
Thank you

Take the water pressure off by opening a faucet or two. Some you have to push up while turning. Relieving the pressure is the big thing.

what has been said before. turn off water and open a faucet to relieve all water pressure. use two hands to push up while turning canister counterclockwise (when viewed from the bottom). there are some locking teeth on the top of the canister. pushing up helps release them. it will break loose. they make a plastic wrench that slips over the canister (it engages the four ribs on the canister) and gives you more leverage to remove / install the canister. they are about $8 on-line. I have one and it helps. just take it slow and steady.

After you've opened it, REMOVE it before the casing cracks and puts water all over the floor of your TT. LOTS of people reporting cracking/leaking of FR1's. Install a 67 cent Home Depot 1/2" coupler in it's place.

This is a great idea. I have been trying to figure out how to remove my filter housing without taking the walls apart and I did not think about doing it this way. Thanks, great post.
