Water Filter System is Confusing
I was given paperwork with new camper purchase which indicates that I have an exterior Camco HydroLife canister model HL-200 - Installed indoors UNDER the Galley.
I don't think that is what I have. I may have a Pentek Big Blue 10" canister installed (I know it's BLUE). I cannot remember exactly and the camper is closed for winter! I keep looking at the paperwork, and have since purchased a rather expensive C-2063 Camco External filter which does not resemble the actual filter (now used up) that came with the new camper. That filter was a MatriKX CR1 19-250-125-975 from Kxtech.com. The harder I try to figure this all out, the more confused I get!

You don't have a signature line and although you posted in the 5th wheel/TT section, your profile suggests a destination trailer.
I won't even hazard a guess.
Without photos or an actual model number of the filter/housing and whether you actually have a destination trailer, there is no way we can tell you what you have.

I found the canister per the picture. The issue is that Camco is showing TWO different pictures (filters) under the SAME part# - The C-2063 filter. I went and bought the "premium KDF" C-2063 - which is NOTED as EXTERNAL. As you can see from the picture, there is another filter, which is blue and very different, yet uses the SAME part # ...

The filter will fit most 10" canisters and both of your images look alike. Your 10" canister also may accommodate the standard 10" carbon type filters that are really inexpensive. I would also guess there are also after market versions of the Camco named filter but much cheaper. Try "discountfilters.com".

You've stated contradictory model numbers... but if you do in fact have the Hydro Life HL 200 canister system, they make TWO different cartridges for the canister housing.
One is the number you listed C2063 which is the blue plastic filter and also the C2471 which is a spun element type filter.
I believe either of these to fit the canister.
Here is a link to Hydro Life's web site showing the HL 200 Filter Assembly and the associated replacement filters.
Hydro Life HL 200
Here is a link to the blue plastic filter available at Walmart. (I didn't do other searches but you can)
Hydro Life 52412 C-2063 Replacement Cartridge
You already have the spun filter element but here is a link for it too for the sake of continuity in this thread. Granted, the ad listing calls the spun filter element a C2063 when in fact it should be a C2471 (per Hydro Life's web site) so I suppose that's where the confusion originated.

I appreciate your knowledge and help on this snafu. However, even tho the paperwork that comes with the camper shows that it is merely a HL-200, it is really a Hydro Life 200 43 Filter Kit - a BLUE canister and the Camco website part# = Item # 52145

I believe the BLUE canister filter assembly you have (200 43) is nothing more than the Hydro Life HL 200 filter that is re-branded for sale by Camco and has a blue colored canister housing instead of the white canister housing.
I'm still convinced the cartridge element you have or the blue plastic one I referenced, will fit.
By all indications, the Hydro Life HL 200 and the Camco 200 43 are identical with the exception of the colors of the canister housing. It isn't unusual for a manufacturer to offer their product to a R/V company like Camco in a re-branded fashion for them to sell.
Camco likely includes the paperwork from Hydro Life since it is already printed and it simply comes with the filters when Camco buys them from Hydro Life.

5Picker - U R by far and away the MOST helpful resource on this! Thank you. So, Camco rebranded the EXTERNAL HydroLife, and FORESTRIVER installed in under the galley.
The filter that came with the camper was neither of the two C2063's which are in question.
I guess my final concern is that what was once described as an External system is now redone as an Internal system, and the sheer weight of the filter I now have in hand is quite a bit heavier than which filter came with the camper (It was a MatriKX CR1 from Kxtech.com). Wonder if the weight might result in some "leaking" of water. Thank you MUCH! We had issues with sulphur odor with water this past summer, and that's why I am searching for the best solution going forward.

I have some confirmation. Camco bought out Hydro Life a few years back. Camco changed the color of (to Blue) and added a number to the Canister Kit Product BUT advised that no one (e.g., ForestRiver) should use it as an Internal System.
They (Camco) said it is EXTERNAL, and that any un-designed use could create WARRANTY issues. I have tried to get ForestRiver to comment, but to no avail.

Strange that FR would use a Camco water filter. I thought thethat Berkshire-Hathaway owned the WaterPur filter company? That’s what they use in most of their TTs and 5ers.
