2013 wildcat maxx 5th 282rk passanger side wheels touching driver side not turning

[/IMG]have a 2013 wildcat maxx 282rk 5th wheel, went to leave on our trip and it would not move. the driver side wheel in front moved about 1/4 way stopped other side now front and rear wheel are touching and will not move. I looked under it, took some photos, do not see anything broken but something is going on. dealer no help since we could not get them to understand it is not moving, and they wanted us to drag pull into to them which we would have to go up a steep single wide dirt road then do a sharp turn onto the main road and go the 15 miles to get to them. they do not make house calls, do have one mobile repair in the area and they want us to tell them exactly what is wrong before coming out. we had lots of problems when we received this unit new from the factory, missing items, out of alignment, a warped window that took year to get replace you could stick you hand out and had a really cold trip that winter in it with all the cold air coming. But this if it happen when we were on the road it locking up could have killed us and someone else. we do not have long distance which the sales person that does the facebook page wildcat maxx does not understand and making it hard to communicate with them. we live in a rural area and no cell service. here is link to the photos in photobucket just not sure exactly what is wrong broken on it, 2013 Wildcat Maxx 5th Wheel by KRISTI MARTIN | Photobucket

I have a 2012 322RK and I can see a couple of differences. My leave spring is mounted in the top mounting hole. Also, the mounting piece in the middle that the shackles are mounted to is lots shorter than mine. Could be different because of the model/weight. Make sure you have the correct tire size on the trailer. It should be printed on the sticker on the front , left side.

Man, that's strange, hope you solve your problem quickly.

Looks like the spring hangers have leaned over on that one side. Are the tires rubbing the wheel well?

What happens if you try to move it reverse?

hi, correct tire sizes, the one side the wheels are rubbing touching no space in between them at all. we did try backing it up but was pretty much just pushing or dragging the wheels back the passenger side can not turn and driver did few inches and stop turning on the front axle.

I'd say that the spring hangers have let go of the frame. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but that certainly appears to be what happened. You may have to have it dollied to a repair location if you can't get a mobile repair to fix it.

Are the axles centered from end of springs? Springs have a center bolt holding spring leafs together and the axle pads have a center hole for the spring bolt head. The u bolts just hold the two together.

I think you may have a tire tread separation that lasts the tire diameter go way out. Measure the diameter of this tire to the ones on the other side. If you have a spare tire try putting it on.
Just my 2 cents

Friend of mine had a very similiar problem and it was the front set of spring hangers that had let go of the frame.

Well????? What actually happened and how did you get it resolved???
I'm not trying to be rude or difficult here but I just can't understand folks not following up or closing out their thread after several people tried to help out.

The repairman comes out next week. so until then it just sitting here. did find another mobile repair guy that is just starting his own business he from out of the area since the only here and that is several towns away was booked for 3 weeks and we made the appoint, waited several hours for them to arrive on the day scheduled appoint and called them. They canceled on us. so will not recommended them to anyone. so will find out in few days, did have him go ahead and order heavier duty leaf springs since the ones on ours have only 4. dealer been no help, they wanted us to drag it to them, like that would not do more damage, trying tell us the fuse need to reset in the break away cord. couple of other companies that work on rv in the area only one understand the rig would not move with the tires touching on the one side. will post when we find out what was wrong with it, with the storms the last few days our internet and power outages and we got couple more days to go have not been online much.

I had tread seperation on the tires that caused the tires to end up about 1/4 from each other. it looks like the leaf springs on one of the photos are flattened out.
I had total tread seperation on all of the tires. one of them only had 100 miles on it when it let go. I put truck tires on all of them and problem was solved. never got much help from forest river on this either.

well have new leaf springs upgraded to 6 instead of the factory 4. will replace the tries they are 2 years old made in 26 week of 2013. but the side that was touching are starting to separate. the tires are still really close on that side 1/2" apart. the repair guy even add extra leaf on that side, thought maybe the wieght on that side. this is passagner non slide side. rib still looks like it is tilted that way. he measured several times but thought possible if we still have that problem after new tires maybe one of the brackets was weld 1/2 inch off. so new springs and had the bearings packed. tires will have to wait until new year, out all the money on this and property taxes are due. still not happy and having the wheels that close makes me nervous. our previous 5th wheel a FR palomino puma blew out tires replaced with new tires them every trip and carried duct tape and gorilla glue since something broke every trip pretty much a lemon. so tire suspension problems make us nervous, we travel with our dogs, to dog shows. if we did not not owe so much would be trading this unit on another unit. We purchased just a few months before my dad passed away he wanted us to have something safe and did not tell us his cancer was back until after we got this unit. we travel to pretty isolated and back roads so if we break down most of the time we be out middle of no where. just hoping new tires will help solve this problem.
