2019 wildcat 28 sgx
I have purchased a new 2019 wildcat 28 SGX. It is "PREWIRED" for a second AC in the front. Also braced. Does anyone know if "PREWIRED" also includes
thermostat wires for a wall mounted thermostat?

From what he has told me there is an adapter plate you install in place of the controls that are on the air. I would suspect there is a wire in the opening that goes to the wall thermostat and then hooks to the adapter plate. Later RJD

Nope, the regular Wildcat line is still made in Indiana. The Wildcat Maxx line is made in Oregon.

Wildcat
I would think this is pre-wired and supported for a non-thermostat, non-ducted A/C. On mine, it has a variable temp dial and a fan speed knob built into the unit. I am not sure it would be possible to add an additional thermostat. I will follow post to see if possible.

Wildcat Maxx are assembled in Oregon and the standard Wildcat brand which the 28 SGX is designated is assembled in Indiana. Mine is a Wildcat before they changed the light weights to Wildcat Maxx and mine was built in the Oregon plant. Most of the Wildcat Maxx are sold mainly in the west the standard line are East coast and mid states. As far as I know there is no Forest River Wildcat plant in California.

Really guys, does it matter where it was assembled? The OP has a question and you are quibbling (look it up, it is an accurate description of what you are doing) over where it was made.
To answer her question, I don't think so.
Ours was pre-wired, it included the wiring including the circuit breaker but no provision for a thermostat. It mounts in the space where the vent is in the bedroom ceiling, at least that is where ours is.
Just remove the vent, drop it in, secure it with the 4 long screws, connect the wiring and away you go.
The way we use it, to cool the bedroom we really don't need a thermostat.
