A little help from my fellow Wildcatters

I am replacing the fabric and roller tube on my 2014 Wildcat ExxtraLite 295RSX and need the numbers off the tube to order proper replacement. My very supportive camper dealer has contacted Dometic and Forest River for help, sending them the measurements and camper VIN, but has gotten nowhere. The label that provides all the details about the awning has come off.

If any of my colleagues out there have a 2014 Wildcat 295RSX available, I have a great favor to ask:

Could you extend your awning and pass along the info from the label back to me via the forum? The label may be on end of the tube toward the nose. I would take all info from it or you could post a photo.

I know this is a big ask, but I would be sincerely grateful for the help. All I can offer is a "Woo hoo!" and a happy dance. Thanks!

The tubes are normally classified by length and diameter measure the outside diameter of the roller tube to the best of my knowledge there are only two sizes in diameter. that should get you the correct tube.

SeaDog, thanks for reaching across branches!

I gave the tube length measurement (13') to the dealer's service rep, had not thought about the outside diameter. I'll check that and send it. I've given them every piece of info I could find--I know they can narrow it down, but she's trying to remove as many unknowns as possible.

Thanks for the help!

the A&E Dometic take the larger tube and the carefree take the smaller tube. but if you measure the OD you will get the correct one. Did you count the number of turns your spring was set at?

Good to know. I'm not doing the install myself, due to time. I'll let them count the turns - although it made my derision easier when the tech said he got knocked off a ladder once by the spring unwinding!
