I was really surprised they put a three step on our unit because the first step is about 10"-12" off level ground, which is a pretty good step for even me and I'm 6'4", my wife is 4'11", so it's a heck of a step for her.

We also have the regular tires, but I would think the Maxxis would be an upgrade anyway.

Overall, we are very pleased with our 327CK. We really, really like the larger windows in the 2015 and the huge basement storage in the 2014/2015 compared to the 2013's. Little touches like the stainless back splash and appliances is nice, as well as all of the LED lighting.
The 2015 model change was passed down from corporate before the 4-step entry was standard in the build. When you say "pleased to find out it was a 2015," you're speaking exactly to this point -- we didn't know, based on the orders in the plant, when the change would happen until it did! All NEW orders for 2015 product will get the NEW standards.

MAXXIS tires are an upgrade item -- available from the factory NOW!

We also have added a solar port (power inlet for Furrion solar panels) to the standard build. The Forest River web site will (hopefully) be updated this week!

Thanks,

I'll check on this and get it updated ASAP!

Please send me a private message with your complete contact information, VIN#, and the dealer you are working with and I'll have the service team look into this! I seem to remember a discussion about this at last week's staff meeting. If this is the same issue, your dealer is 100% not to blame on this. I think it may have been a backordered part from our supplier...

Chris,
We ordered a Wildcat 327CK from a dealer on Friday March 7, 2014...The salesman estimated 6-8 weeks for delivery...Will our Wildcat be equipped with quad steps and a Mor/Ryde pin box? We didn't know about the tire upgrade until I read about them on this forum, probably would have added them if we had known.

Thanks

Hi Chris, Just bought a 2014 Wildcat 327ck and it's still at the dealer. Also bought a 2014 GMC 2500 Crewcab with a standard box ( 6'-6" box?). What type of hitch will I need for my truck? I paid for a basic hitch at the dealer and now they say I need the slider. I read that some of the 5th wheels are designed for a solid hitch and others need the slider hitch for turning clearances. I have the same setup that you do, and I have a slider hitch. Never used it, but, would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

What John says above it what leads many people to invest in a slider hitch: while not necessary, some people like to feel prepared "just in case."

Decals

I have bought a 2001 Wildcat. The inside looks as if it has hardly been used. The outside could use some TLC. The decals are curling etc. Was wondering if there is anyway I can get a decal kit and redo these?

I am from Iowa so I have no clue where that is. I am sure I will have to spend plenty to replace them. And if I take off you can see the fade. But what should I expect, it is not new. LOL

Chris,

We recently took delivery of a FR Wildcat 312QBX and one of the first things we noticed is that the stow and go door, outside refrigerator door and the pass through storage doors have no way to latch them in the open position. Having spent a day or two camping in the wind, not being able to latch these doors in the open position is going to become very inconvenient.

A suggested improvement would be to have a hold open latch for each of these doors similar to the one on the main entrance door.

We also noticed that the curb side pass through storage door hits the bottom of the awning arm when fully opened. If the wind were to catch this door and slam it against the awning arm the likely result is sprung door hinges or worse yet a puncture hole in the door.

Thanks!
