BAL frame

Is Wildcat still using the BAL frame or have they switched back to Lippert. If they have switched back to Lippert, was there an issue with the BAL frame. We are looking at a 2015 312bhx with the BAL frame. Appreciate any input.

I do not know about Wildcat but Jayco was having issues with huck bolts snapping when they were using BAL frames, and they went back to Lippert.

Lippert frames are in no way a peach in any sense of the word either........just keep your fingers crossed

Any other opinions on the Wildcat BAL frames? Any factory reps out there that can chime in on the BAL frame and if it is still being used or not?

The Wildcat 5er specs say they have a "Lippert extended pin box" I doubt they are putting Lippert pin boxes on BAL frames but you never know I guess.

And here is a picture, and a bad one, of a 2017 Wildcat Maxx 255 RLX. That sure looks like an LCI decal on the A frame.

I have the BAL frame and like it...no issues. I think it is stout.

Never heard about any issues...so I don't know where the poster found the broken huck fasteners story.

Also we are talking about 5th wheels..right? ...not sure why someone posted a TT.

That was on the Jayco forums about two years ago but it was related to TT'S from what I remember . As far as Wildcat 5ers currently, maybe this thread will provide some type of answer to the original question for what it's worth. Post #4 under not to be retained.

I have a 2016 312BHX with BAL drop frame. Specifically bought this unit due to the frame design. It gives you much more storage in the pass through and no step up in the bedroom. No issues as of now.

Yes they did change to new frame on 5th wheels end of 16 model year.

I have a 2015 Wildcat 327 ck with a BAL. I read that they went back to LCI in 2016 because of cost? I have not had any problems.

2016 Wildcat 295rsx with BAL drop frame. No issues. Tows great. The huge front storage can't be beat. Pin box is the MorRyde Lippert 1621 clone.
