Cabinets above recliners

We have a 28sgx, has anyone added spring hinges or cabinet struts to keep them open? If so what did you use and where did you get them?

We also have cabinets above our recliners - what's the advantage to having them open?

Thanks

To keep them open when you want to get things in and out.

cabinet door hinges

We had the same issue. Installed RV Designer Cabinet Door Support Part # H271. These are 6 1/4" spring loaded cabinet door supports and they work great. I installed one per door. Be careful because they will open the door quickly if you let go. The wife and I can now remove or place items in the overheads without trying to hold the doors open.

On my wildcat the doors came with a spring unit that keeps the door either opened or closed.

Do you have any pictures of how you installed them? We had some of these and couldn't get them to work.

cabinet door hinges

Never uploaded pictures before. Hope this works.
The bottom screws were approximately 2-inches from bottom of frame.
