Describing RV with numbers/letters????
I wish folks , when posting or initiating a thread, would take the time to briefly describe their RV. I'm sure very few of us know what the jumble of letters/numbers mean when someone states they just bought a XYZ123 RV and wonder "something" about it. For me to contribute, I usually need to leave the forum, and Google the model# before I even know if it's a Class A, B, C, TT, 5th, or ??. It would make it so much easier to help the "thread owner" if they included a 3-4 word description of the RV they are seeking info/help on.
I simply bring this up, not to be critical, but I believe there will be even more assistance given when we know immediately what type of RV we"re dealing with!

Common letters
RK = rear kitchen
RKS = rear kitchen slide
RB = rear bedroom
RL rear living room
BK = Bunkhouse
I think you get the picture. Some brands add other letters unique to their brand. It will come to you if you pay attention
If I'm on a 5th wheel forum I kinda figure we are talking about a 5th wheel. As in the case of a Wildcat, there are no wildcat TT's.
27rk = 27' rear kitchen
As for 3 digit #'s I can only assume
275 = 27' 6" ? 379 = 37' 9"?
The hard part I find is understanding the length. Are they overall lengths end to end or are they living space lengths.
that i need websit or NADA to answer.

Thanks for the info, I do take a bit of an issue that there are no Wildcat TT's. I own a Wildcat MAXX 28RKX TT. Yes I know, it's a MAXX, however, it IS a Wildcat!

When talking about class As, there is the length and then S, DS and TS for single slide, double slide and triple slide since more than one floor plan is often available on a given length.

Usually box size. Last digit, many times, is a floor plan number for multiple floor plans of the same length. For instance, a Rockwood 2703WS. 27' box, floor plan 3, Wardrobe slide. Length is actually 32' 3" I think end to end.
The Flagstaff version is 27RLWS (rear living wardrobe slide)

How about this?
Class A
Super C
Class C
Class B
Travel Trailer
Fifth Wheel
Truck Camper
And if it's a toy hauler, how about just saying so?

Better yet, why not put your make and model # in the signature, then the next time a question is asked there is no need to state it again.

You can tell that most of us RVers are over 50 and don't text like our kids do, otherwise we would all have no problem figuring out the many acronyms!
And I thought my SS stood for Super Stretchy!

On the Flagstaff line the number designation more closely represents the overall length. my Microlite 21DS is 21' 8". No consistency in the industry.

Excellent idea--I've done that for years here. See below

That applies to Class C's as well. And you forgot QS for Quad slide....

Identity of rigs
It would be a simple bit of computer coding for the host web site to automatically put a link in the text following an identification number ("Wildcat model xxx123" for instance), that would allow the reader to see what model is being referenced. Otherwise, the OP could do it but most people are either not that computer savvy, or would take the time to link to a page with the model schematic.
Like this:
"I have a trailer but I can't find the hitch. It's a 30 WFKSS. You know, where I hook my truck to?"
Flagstaff V-Lite Travel Trailers by Forest River RV
Simple huh?

RB on our Coachman 248RBS means Rear Bath! The 24 part is box size, 28' 6" overall.

I'm still wondering where the 8282 came from on mine. Figured out the WS means Wardrobe Slide. 😋

Not sure about the 8, but the 28 would be box feet. My 8310 is a 31'.

My TT is a 2012 SV 264... S special V version with a box length of 26.4'..... I think..... They now make the same floor plan as an SP264RK sport version, same box, rear kitchen.
