golf cart batteries in a 2016 28 rbx
has anyone installed golf cart batteries in the pass-thru area of these new style wildcat maxx? if so how

Not me and I would be careful with that. Normally the battery is in a ventilated space and the pass through storage area is not ventilated.

I just put in 2, 6v batteries in mine. I used a heavy duty plastic tote, cut a hole on top so the vent hose can be attached. Batteries fit good and secure. I am planning on adding an additional 2 more batteries in the next few months to increase our amps and I figured adding another tote next to it should work.
I can get a few pictures next time I am at the trailer if you would like?

Not the greatest pictures but you get the idea. I got the tote from Lowes I believe it is a 14 gallon. I drilled a few holes on the side of it to put the wires through and sealed them afterward with silicone. I cut the vent hole a bit smaller than the hose for a tight fit but for safe measures put silicone around the top and added some gorilla tape just to make sure it wouldn't come off when I moved the lid around.
I was able to use the existing battery cables and shut off switch I just needed 1 cable to connect the batteries together. Total cost was about $20, tote, battery cable and silicone.

. Here is what I did put 4 80 amp hour batteries for the house batteries 2 100 amp hour batteries for the inverter and shut off switch on each side and that hole is for solar charge for the inverter batteries and vent out each side and 200 W of solar panel on the roof to charge the house batteries

And, be aware there is a proper way to connect the batteries together....not just jump'n one to the next.

I know the cost is higher but I'm surprised more folks don't go 6V AGM. They don't need venting or maintenance and my Lifeline units have outperformed any flooded battery I ever used.

Depends on size Bob. Lifeline does lots of options for AGM's. I have the 4CT's currently and considered adding a second pair in the basement. However, I never seem to dry camp long enough to run them down. Solar and genset seem to top them up as needed. On my last rig I had more room so I had one of the 8D 12V's. Almost 160# for the one! There was no removing that big fella for the off season... Here is there page with all your options.

All my batterys are AGM as for the tongue weight did not make much of a difference on my truck I have a Ford super duty F250 with airbags and I still only put 25 pounds of air in my airbags and everything sits level
