Leaking slide out pump

I have a 2004 29BHBP, and just recently it has started to leak where the hydraulic pump resevoir meets the housing. The pump works fine, just leaks. I have taken the resevoir off and cleaned the o ring, it was in good shape, not crimped or torn. I reinstalled and it still leaked. I removed it again and greased it, and it still leaked. I went to a nearby Camping World to get a new o ring and the guys there said mine was fine. They said the pumps warp sometimes and causes the leak. I saw on a post here that someone talked to Lippert and they suggested to try Permatex. I used that today and Iím going to let it dry for 24 hours before filling with fluid. Has anyone else tried this? Iím trying not to buy a $1,000 pump for a unit Iím trying to sell.
