Maxx Deluxe Fan in Front Bedroom

My ‘16 Wildcat 327ck is prewired for an a/c in the front bedroom. I would like to put a Maxx Deluxe fan in place of the current skylight/vent. If I remember right, the original cheap vent fans run off 12 volt? The wires in the bedroom look bigger then normal 12v to me (but I am no electrical expert). Anyone know if I can use the black/white prewires for the Maxx Fan?Click image for larger version

I assume that is the AC prewire? typically white and black (color) is 120 volt. Is that a 3rd wire in the pic? If it is a solid copper then that is intended for 120volt wiring.

Now you could find that wire run back at your 120 volt panel and move it to the 12 volt panel and use the white and black for 12 volt + and -.

Wire doesn't care what voltage it carries, the bigger wire carries more amperage. If it is the AC prewire it is either a 14 gauge (15amps) or 12 gauge (20 amps) wire. The smaller the number the bigger the wire. Your max fan would probably run on 16-18 gauge. So you would be good.

That looks like 12v. If it was 120v it would be rolmex. My rv they used white rolmex which is 14/2 good for 15amps.

Yes, there is a third (Brown) wire. Not sure if it is copper or not, did not look. I will check the fuse/circuit panel to see if I can figure out if it is 120 or not. Thank you.

Never thought about the wiring not being in Romex. You may be right about the 12 volt. But, if it is prewired for a/c, they sure the heck wouldn’t use 12 volt wiring; so just thought it was strange.

After speaking to a RV friend of mine, he told me to look under where the roofing is folded down to see if there is some romex and wires there. Lo and behold, there is an electrical box there. So, i do have 12v and romex. Happy for that!
