new battery suggestions

My Wildcat has two group 27 deep cycle batteries. I never camp with not having shore power. Could I drop down to two group 24 batteries?

Figured it would save me money.

Thanks
Mike

If you always camp with shore power, you only need one basic group 24 dual-purpose marine battery.
BUT if there's a chance you will do any dry camping or boondocking, you're best to stay with the two group 27 batteries. Or two 6v golf cart batteries.

We thought we would seldom boondock. Then the DW discovered Harvest Hosts.

Being from Ohio there is little boondocking opportunities.

Wife retired this summer. However, we went to Moab and boondocked for 5 days. Being from the Midwest, we had never slept in the desert.

Going to boondock the next three days.

I vote for two six volt gc2 batteries (Costco) $200 for the pair and a battery monitor for $40.

Plan ahead!
