New to the wildcat forum

Hello Wildcats, Wife and I just purchased a 2016 295 RSX Wildcat Only camped last week to check the home out and found nothing wrong, So far this is one beautiful home, Pulling it with a Ram 2500 cumming diesel, Brought it home the other day pulled great, Leaving next week to Nashville. Traded in a 2014 Micro lite 23fb, Yes there is a difference, Planning to travel west in January for a few months. Great forum fantastic info.

We love our 295RSX!!! It is a 2015 and we have towed it a lot. It has been to CA twice now. We are also from NC! Where did you purchase your 'cat?

Nice to hear a positive experience with the new CW/Tom Johnson. I had heard several horror stories after the CW take over. Have you camped at Mountain Stream just up the hill from there? It is a very nice campground.

No haven't tried mountain stream yet, I too have heard a lot about C/W but they were great with this transaction, We did buy our last camper two years ago from T/J and used the same salesman this time he said a lot of employees did quit when they changed over but things have gotten a lot better, Question if you don't mind what kind of property tax do you have to pay on your wildcat? , We are planing on locating from Fl to Linville

Tks
Ken

I copied this quoted part from 5er_Tom: "We love our 295RSX!!! It is a 2015 and we have towed it..." just over 8K miles. It is the perfect layout for us. We love the 50 gallon waste tanks as compared to the 28 gallon tanks in our last trailer. That big Toshiba TV is nice as is the electric fireplace which DW uses plenty during cooler months.

I have a new Wildcat also. Been on two trips, for a total of 12 nights and 1200 miles. My camper is the 29rlx. I have had two tt, but this is my first 5th wheel. Loving it so far. Only a few minor issues. Have two things that have me scratching my head. I have two gray tank drains but only on gauge. The liner underneath has rectangular hole cut in it. I don't know if it ok to seal it up. I assume it is an access point that I can tape closed.

Wing2008:
I hope the tax man does not read this. I do not recall how much the property tax bill was, but the appraised value for the unit was $17,000. Someone in the tax office must have hit the wrong key.

We have no property taxes on RVs in Texas. The annual license renewal runs about $90. FR rep said my 2016 295rsx was the first 2016 model to roll off the line in March 2015. We have towed west to California, North to Wisconsin and East to Florida. 12000 towed miles and couldnt be happier. See sig for build detail.

Welcome and I know you will enjoy your new RV, we have a 2015 Wildcat Max which has an overall length of 28 ft. Have been camping the last year and have put close to 3,500 miles on it and all I can say everything has worked as advertised. When we ordered it we had 250 watt solor panels installed and a Backup camera.
Only issues we did have, have been me not reading the " How to work it " manuals.
But all is good now!! LOL

Planning to take a trip from So. Cal. To Origon this Sept. And so far we have been pretty blessed not to have issues.

Enjoy your Wildcat
