New Wildcat GM making his mark. The old one made major improvements that squeezed the margins too low, so he is gone now. The fantastic money losing 295rsx is gone. No more giant front storage thanks to the BAL NSX frame, back to the cheap Lippert. No more 9 cuft refrig std., back to the 8ft., spare tire back to a bumper mount. No more cool radial shower with bath access from bedroom, now step naked into the hall or stumble down the steps at night. Just when you thought Wildcat would break out and lead the pack! Oh well...

Sure glad we got our 295RSX. We love it and all it's features. Sorry to see it is no longer available.

There are quite a few still out there for anyone looking and I bet you can play the "its discontinued so I need a bigger discount" card. Google search finds them.

hbillsmith, from your "myedit" comments in another thread, I see Wildcat is eliminating the major features for which I bought my 295RSX eXtralite... such as the front storage of the BAL frame, 50 gallon waste tanks, radial shower, etc. The layout and features of our trailer make it perfect for us - especially now that we have most of the bugs worked out.

We still have a few "bugs" to resolve. BUT this is such a great unit, we will hang on and get them all resolved. We already have plans to attend the Goshen Rally next year. If our issues are not fully resolved by then, we'll get them resolved there.

I guess Warren wants to increase his profit margin.

The really sad part to me is, they look like a lot of the other models that are already out there.

I've got to say that none of those new Wildcats look very appealing to me and my family of 5. Most of the features that drove us to buy a Wildcat are gone (bunkhouse with 3 or more beds, front storage size, bathroom config, etc). If I was in the market to replace my 312BHX, I'd be forced to look at a different brand.

+1. The 312BHX / 312QBX really hit the mark for family 5th wheels in a market full of options for 2 people. It was what drew us to Wildcat, the extra finishings sealed the deal, now it seems both the floorplan and the extras are gone...

The support and input from the factory on this board really gave me a good feeling too, but that too is now gone. I will say I had a positive experience with the service rep over email recently... I tore a bit of the flooring in our unit and the factory sent me a very large piece of flooring to repair it with for no charge!

reclining chairs

I have a 2014 wildcat 327CK and the reclining chairs work fine when no one is sitting in them , but when someone sits in them they will not recline

We had the Mastercraft swivel recliners in our Wildcat that worked good but replaced them with Lazy Boys for comfort.

Looks like they are driving the brand to appeal more towards empty-nesters. We had the 312 models on our short list. Oh well, time to take Wildcat off the list. Bunkhouse models are on our "must have" not "nice to have" list.

I think there are still 312's on lots at the moment. If you're ready to buy soon, I highly recommend it for a family 5er. A bunkhouse is the only way to go.

What a shame. I have been eyeing the Wildcat 5ers for a while. Everyone here has had good luck with them. They seemed to set themselves apart from the others with the non lippert frames, huge storage, Maxxis Tires, Larger and more refined interiors at a reasonable price. Their new floor plans look terrible. Seems to be the way of the world these days, Decrease the value but keep the price the same. Looking elsewhere now.

I just put in an order for 312bhx and the floor plan looks just like the one you have posted. I got it with the triple bunks on one side and the bunk/dinette on the other side. instead of the outside kitchen. The bathroom will still have the radius shower. Although I do think the front storage size is small.

I was looking at 312bhx the Midwest version but it looks like they are not making anymore. I did see the one for the west but it's longer. After reading through the above posts it is getting me disappointed. Every time I get my eye on a unit they discontinue no matter what manufacturer it is.

WOW... I just looked at the new models. As previously stated a lot of the things that sold me on Wildcat are gone now.
The holding tank size getting smaller would be a deal breaker for us. We frequent state parks to camp/boat and they do not sewer hook ups. With our current tank size we can make long weekends without having to use the "honey wagon". Week long stays would be terrible with smaller tanks!

Just did 3 nights at a state park, no sewer, tanks still showed 1/3 each when we left.

I agree...they are going backwards.
