Ordered Wildcat Maxx 312BHX

Our order was submitted yesterday. The Wildcat rep said without delays we will have it in approx 8wks. He said build times at the moment are running between 6-8wks. We have a trip planned for the last 6 months for the next weekend after we are supposed to get delivery. We still have our TT so won't be the end of the world but sure would be nice to have the new 5th wheel.

Just curious anyone order recently how long did it take for you to get it?

We "ordered" our Wildcat MAXX, a 28RKX, in March of this year and it was at the dealers 4 weeks later. Our dealer actually got a priority, I believe, since he sold the 2015 unit we had picked out (with our approval) that was on his lot. As it turned out we were not going to be able to pick it up for a month after we said we'd take it. He had someone come a few days later to the dealership that wanted it immediately. He offered a 2016 to replace it at the same price and delivery date which was fine with us. We were very pleased to find it was ready the day we were scheduled to pick it up and have luv'd it every time we have use'd it!

Thanks for the reply! I hope we get ours that fast. I spoke with the dealer they said they would be asking to expedite the build. We met the Wildcat rep at the show in Pomona and he said he would do everything he could to get it to us on time as well. He said current build times are approx 6-8wks so hopes we will have it within 8wks. It will be cutting very close to our Christmas trip so it would be great to get it a few weeks sooner so I can prep it for our trip.

Congrats! We just ordered the same model at the same show. Rep gave us the same timeframe.

You folks are in for a treat! We've owned 2 MAXX travel trailers, a 29' 24RG which we traded for our current 33' 28RKX. We luv these trailers and find the quality to be excellent and the features outstanding. We bought both trailers new from Canopy City RV in Ellensburg, Wa even though we live in Iowa. You can't buy the MAXX this far East but that is not a problem, the MAXX was worth traveling for!!! AND we have a son in Seattle that we visit at least once a year so it wasn't as "out of the way" as it may seem.

BCMCpig assuming you got it from the same dealer DDRV?

Quick question if anyone knows. I am installing the 5th wheel hitch this week and wanted to know the approx height that it needed to be set at. Just curious what the pin height is from the ground up on the trailer when it's level.

Thanks

Yes I did Timna and I was wondering the same thing about the height. I haven't found that info online. I can't even ask siri because I still have an iPhone 4....

I talked to the rep yesterday and he was unsure as to the height told me would be best to contact the dealer to see if they would measure.

We have a F262RGX with 16" wheels and the pin (platen) sits at 49" when the trailer is level. Keep in mind that your suspension will sink a few inches as you load it up.

Nice thank you that will help a lot. The one I ordered has 16" wheels as well so it should be the same.

I have a 2015 Silverado 2500Hd. I have mine set at approx 51" from the ground I am unsure if that is correct maybe a little high but I figured I will bring tools with me and adjust if needed while we are picking it up.

Received our unit yesterday earlier than we expected. Was shipped the 4th and arrived at dealer the 9th. The hitch height was perfect at 51" from the ground. Unit is very nice, spent a lot of time on the PDI to ensure no issues, we found a few minor issues with the door locks, loose screws etc.

Timna, if you get a chance sometime, would you be able to get me the pin box number. I think that I am going to get a sidewinder turret system for the trailer and was wondering what the pin box was that was used with the trailer. No rush. Congrats again on getting the new unit.

It was December 4th and I was informed it was shipped the same day. It arrived at the dealer on the 9th. If you happened to get it from the same dealer I would start calling at day 5, and every day after that. They seem like they were in no hurry so I had to light a fire under them.
