The burners on the stove light just fine. The spark dial makes a visible spark, but no ignition when oven gas is turned on and no smell of gas. Any ideas?
I think that almost all the suburban ovens have a pilot setup and you turn the knob to pilot and push in while lighting once the pilot is lit then the oven will come on. My oven I have to get on my knees to light the pilot so I don't know if they have a Ignitor on the newer units.

You're seeing your spark dial spark but that's on top for your burners right? Or are you saying you have a separate spark dial for the oven....ours is like onetonford stated, we have to manually light the pilot light.
Yes, that was it! Just like on my Mr. Buddy propane heater... to light the pilot light, you have hold the gas open for a bit for it to light...
Thank you!

It has to be lit with a match. Or a fire starter. The ignition spark is only for the burners. First stand on your head so you can see. Then light . We just bough a 272RL and it is match light. Good luck. Have fun.

Glad I could help.
