roof vent fan

just received a roof vent/fan assembly. Trailer is 285RLK so installing in vent in kitchen area. Anyone done this and if so where did you get power from? I have a plan, not sure how successful it will be. Hoping someone has been down this path and can save me some time poking around.

Sometimes, if you pull down the inside plastic trim, you’ll be able to see in between the exterior roof and the ceiling of your rig.....May or may not have insulation.
Reach around carefully in between, and sometimes you’ll find wiring running to ceiling lights etc.

there is a light close but it's switched, need constant hot. I'll pull the trim and look, hoping someone has done it before with same model trailer

light is switched, won't work

Had to fish a wire from the vent to above the cabinet above the peninsula where I cut a small hole in ceiling inside the cabinet, then found a hot feeding another light, patched the hole with foil tape for now, can't see it unless the cabinet is open and you're looking up from a chair. Had to cross over an AC duct and through a truss. Royal PITA, scraped up the arm on gang nails and staples but it works.

Word of warning, stay away from the knock off fans on Amazon that look like Fantastic Fans, they're not and they're a bit off and the trim for mine wasn't long enough, fortunately my local RV store, Benlo, had a trim piece that made it work.
