Don't expect it to blast the skin off your arm. The key is how much water pressure you are giving it. I have found that the cheap plastic water regulator you buy at WM restricts the flow too much. Until I bought the adjustable regulator, I was just a husband to the BOSS. Now I am SUPER HUSBAND! She doesn't know what I did to increase the pressure but she sure is happy I did.

Love to see the shower mods -- it's something I've been asking about for some time now. I'll share these ideas with our team here.

Good tires?

I see the "good tires" issue being brought up again and again. Please tell me what brand and specific attributes you're all looking for so I can be sure there's more discussion on this issue!
Our standard is the Taskmaster Provider ST 10-ply load range 'E' radial tire (available in the aftermarket via Discount Tire). This tire has served us well so far.
Wildcat also EXCLUSIVELY offers the MAXXIS M8008 as a factory option:
ST Radial M8008 | Maxxis USA
I just spoke with my tire rep yesterday and he said there are NO domestically made ST tires in production at this time, including any American brands. Almost all ST trailer tire production is in China (with the notable exception of the MAXXIS tires being produced in Thailand). He said, and I agree, that the tire attributes are what is most important to finding the right tire for an RV: - Minimum of 10-ply steel-belted radial
- Load range 'E' or above
- Sidewall strength
- Tread design
- Proper inflation
- Appropriate pairing with correct spec aluminum wheel

I would say my number 1 would be a built-in inverter to be able to run outlets when running off battery without having to have a generator. Obviously the microwave and A/C would have to be powered separately from the inverter so they cannot run off battery, but it would be nice to be able to run small electronics (chargers, coffee maker, etc) off of the outlets when dry camping.

Why are people stuck on the idea of only using an ST tire and not an LT tire?
I have been running LT's load range E's with zero issues for years. Never had a blow out.
There is much more weight and stress on a steer axle of a diesel truck than a 5er, and the tires are fine. Plus, think about why an ST tire has bold lettering stating "for trailer use only". It's because it is NOT suitable for passenger vehicle use and will likely blow out.
Many manufacturers ARE using LT's right out of the factory, standard. WILDCAT CHRIS, I believe Cedar Creeks come with LT's.
Actually here are the specs for a Cedar Creek right off the Forest River website:
" 8-Lug, LT, "G" Rated, Goodyear Tires (American made)*
on 7,000 Axles (36CKTS, 38CK, 38FL, 38RE) "

I would agree, ST tires are not safe for a wheelbarrow and are always overpriced. LT tires are the way to go in any load range tire.

Ok. First I over analyze everything.... So I pondered over the tire deal till I decided on GY marathons...now I feel stupid from the domestic LT standpoint. Ohh well I guess I am in for a few years anyway.
Here is one article on the subject...

I asked our tire rep (from HiSpec) for his take on the discussion between ST and LT tires. Here's his response:
Quote:
Both ST and LT can be used on trailers. ST tires can be used only on trailers, LT tires can be used on both trailers and trucks. As long as the trailer does not overload the tire, both are acceptable.
LT tires are over-engineered for trailer use from a handling standpoint and NVH (noise, vibration and harshness). ST tires are engineered for rolling and braking.
LT Tires are under-engineered in terms of load carrying capacity. LT Tires do not offer the high load carrying capacity of an ST Tire. In the example below, the LT235/85R16 LRE has a max load of 3042 lbs. The Provider ST 235/80R16 LRE has a max load of 3520 lbs.

Not sure how you would prove it but I suspect the higher ratings on the ST tire is because there is no government oversight. They can stamp any number they like on them. What they should say is FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY. Again just my thoughts.

Changing that cheapo plastic toilet seat was a WINNER too! Never knew they made a residential replacement version - awesome bathroom in our Crusader (except for those tacky plastic faucets ...i mean seriously?? Everything else is a higher quality but not those !!). Next year's project for DH

Wildcat Chris. Your a great guy. What you do here is awesome.
Sure wish there was a Rockwood pop up rep on here doing what your doing.
Good job!

They have to be DOT approved

Agreed! Wooden Toilet seat = much better experience!
We also modded the lower cabinet handle - replaced the handle with a vertical toilet paper holder
Faucets in our Rockwood are not that bad - not gonna mess with those.
Now, have your DH install a Blue Streak for your toilet - 10 min bolt on - this is a KILLER mod! (Should be stock Wildcat Chris )

Too pricey. The replacement product cost is ridiculous. I can understand a seasonal full timer with a stationary coach wanting it but someone like me would never buy the refills. The little throw in packs and a good flushing of the black tank completely controls any odors in my coach

Matter of opinion, but I whole heartedly agree. That would be another thing to spend money on that you wouldn't get return value on.
Sorry BamaBob.

Nothing requires you to by their replacement solution. I mix Super Clean, Pinesol and water for ours and it works great. No packets to remember to throw in.
