It might vary by model, but on ours the screens slide up leaving access to the inner glass

If your screens have the plastic tabs at the bottom, you pull them out straight, bottom first. There are spring-fiction clips around the edge that must be depressed by pulling gently out around the edges.
Getting them back in is a royal PITA.

I can never figure out why they build these things that are not user friendly. Something as simple as taking out a screen to clean the glass should be a no-brainer, not an exercise in futilty. I was just getting ready to pull one of ours out because there is cottonwood seeds between it and the glass, now I'm not sure I will even try.

Everything is a mystery until you actually do it. The first screen I took out by the tabs and reinstalled was a PITA. After that, every screen was easier until now it's a simple process and Liz is happy that both sides of the glass are clean. Myself, I would never wash either side
