This new to rv living guy from Florida needs to know what to expect from snow on the roof. Is snow load an issue?? Unit will be in MA and I'll be in Florida.

It's hard to say, I know RV lots don't clean there roofs on units for sale, but alot of members said they clean what they can safely at home. Snow can get pretty heavy. If snow is a problem up there I would bet someone has a business to clean them off, you might check that. You might call a dealer up there and ask that question....good luck..I get about 6" here at a time but it melts in a couple of days so I don't do anything, I sure wouldn't be walking around on the roof cleaning it...May be someone from up there will let you know how they handle it...

Will the snow be to heavy on the tires and the axles? Last winter I had a couple of feet of snow shoveled off the roof before I left for Arizona. I thought I would be overloaded going down the road.

unit is a 27RK wildcat. Set up in a campground on a seasonal lot. park closed for 6 months in the winter. Slide will be closed. Might buy a cover.

For sure I would buy a cover, if nothning else for a barrier to protect your ac. And vents. You might also look for a covered RV storage area and move it there for the winter and then move it back to your spot in spring and Elina your right it would cause you to be over for your axles and tires, snow is heavy and I don't know what the load an RV roof is built to, good question for FR.

Our camper is on a seasonal site in Wisconsin. We do get our fair share of snow and I have never gone up to shovel/sweep the roof off. Never had a problem.
