jonrjen,
We are just north of Atlanta. No I'm not dead set on a 2013. I think I would even like a 2014 better. The 2013 Wildcat 327CK is what they had at the show and I liked the price. I actually got them down to $29,894, I was $4000.00 short of paying cash so walked away. Hoping just as good a deal will come along. We will be going fulltime Nov. of this year if all ducks can stay lined up.

Hmm. I don't think I've ever actually seen this section. I normally come in and read all new message, and respond to those I see need respondin' to. I suppose if I had a specific question I needed to ask, I would go back to the forum sections and would have been surprised to see we had one for us!

Okay, here's a picture of mine at the KOA in Rusk TX.

I would say to check with some of the dealerships up in in MI or IN as they always seem to offer prices that can be thousands of dollars less expensive than many local dealers. I purchased our Wildcat in Muskegon, MI at All Season's RV our sales person was Amanda Logan who was fantastic to work with as was the entire process from beginning to end. So I would recommend that you call her for some price information.

Then I would follow two different routes before making a purchase. One would be to see if your current dealer would price match. However when doing a price match in this case be fair to the local dealer. Keep in mind that if you purchased an rv in Muskegon you would have cost involved to either go take delivery or pay for delivery. So add this cost to your offer, after all the local dealer has to cover delivery to his location also. If the two of you end up a few hundred to a thousand dollars apart then it is your call as to is it worth paying the difference to have a good working relationship with a local dealer.

Second route would be that if the savings were great enough for you to drive or pay delivery from Muskegon, start making a few call to nearby Wildcat dealer service depts. and ask point blank if they will provide warranty work on a Wildcat that was not purchased locally. Some will, some won't figuring that if you wouldn't buy from them, why should they help you now. Forest River will not force a local dealership to do warranty repairs on anyones RV......they will cover the repair at an authorized dealer, but bottom line you are at the mercy of the dealership as to if they will accept the work. Hence comes into play trying to form a good relationship with a local dealer.

In our case we couldn't locate the floorplan we wanted due to it having been discontinued. So I called a small town local and fairly new dealership and asked if they would provide warranty service on a unit if I purchased it from out of state. Of course the first question was why go out of state to buy. After explaining about the discontinued floor plan and confirming that they did not have one in inventory nor could order one they were more than gracious in accepting any warranty work I may need taken care of. I guess they have the train of thought that by forming a good relationship with me, the next time I purchased they have their foot in the door with me.

I guess what I'm saying is shop wise, shop smart and in some cases the lowest dollar paid may not always be the best price. Cover your bases both present and future.

Keeping in mind that there is so such thing as a bad price, As long as both the buyer an seller are happy with the deal.

Good Luck,

We purchased our Wildcat due to having a diesel pusher that just didn't get used enough to justify having it. So we sold the DP, purchased the WC and are determined to put it to good use ASAP.

That is one very clean looking 7.3 PSD you have there.

Thanks in the picture it is not hooked to the fiver just parked under it. It only has around 80000 miles on it and is usually only used for the fiver. It and the fiver have there own parking carport just for them to make them last longer.

Hey jonrjen. I've been on this board for years now, but just never really looked into the different subforums. Who knew?!!? Anyway, I bought new in 2010. I have been very pleased with it. There's been some minor annoyances, but no major problems. Except the tires. If I were to pass on one thing, I would say dump the tires that it comes with as soon as possible and get some good ones on it. I got less than 3,000 miles out of them before having a triple blowout coming home from San Antonio. I now have Maxxis tires and am hoping they do a bit better. Other than that, we very much enjoy this trailer.

We had our Wildcat delivered from MI, the driver had a blow out on the way to Texas. Then when I took the trailer in for the TX state inspection I noticed a low tire that I had filled with air two days earlier. To I had the tire and wheel pulled for inspection only to find out that the tire had a plug in it that was not sealing correctly.

I have already been pricing out tires and as soon as I get the trailer picked up new tires will be put on ASAP if not on the way home.

I am still giving great consideration to going with LT tires rather than ST rated tires. I know that the RV community says it is not the way to go, but I had LT tires on my Travel Supreme triple axle 5th wheels for over 10 years and never had a problem.

My last fiver was wildcat, 29 Elba. 2010 model. Only problem was the cheap tire that all blew up. Once they were changed out, no problems.

Boy Howdy those photos sure make one wish they could be out enjoying the Wildcat.

I will admit that I am still a little nervous of our first shake down trip in the WC.

Very nice, I'm green with envy. What kind of a rack is that behind your WC? Is that one of the fold down racks or a rack in a receiver hitch?

We're in our '14 312BH - currently on a 80-acre ranch in Utopia, TX. Here for about 10 more days then heading east. Probably Florida:

I can hardly see your 5th wheel with all of those trees blocking the view. And where did those WC decals disappear to....LOL!! Looks very quite and peaceful there. Not to mention those hill country views are great.
Is this a piece of land that you own or just lucky enough to enjoy? Surprised that with the green growing that there are no deer in the photo.
Where in Florida are you heading?
