To breathe or not to breathe?

Picked up our 33' rear kitchen, front bedroom Wildcat MAXX travel trailer this week. We traded in our 29 foot Wildcat MAXX rear bedroom travel trailer.
My question centers around the 2 cubby hole openings ( one on each side of the bed) under the mirrored closet doors. Both trailers actually have an opening about 3" high at the top of the "wood panel" at the back of the cubby. On a cold day/night there's a lot of cold air coming through these openings. I'd like to block these openings to stop the cold air, however, I wonder if this area is actually left open so the enclosed area behind the front cap can breath? I don't want to block this off if I'm going to cause condensation issues in the dead space behind the cap.
Any thoughts or inputs will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The only suggestion I have is to contact Wildcat and ask them. Here's a link to their contact info... Forest River RV Contact Us - Forest River, Inc.

Thanks to Dave's help as posted above,I was able to contact AAron at FR service. I'm told that these openings are ventilation for the dead air area between the bedroom wall and the front cap. Now I know I can reduce their size to eliminate some of the cold air draft, however, I'll leave a portion of the opening unblocked to allow air exchange.
Case closed!
