We are still in Waldport. Had another really bad weather day on Friday that required the slides to be retracted. Yesterday and today are nice. Lots of sun and much less wind.
Here is our site and a couple of pics of our view of Alsea Bay.

We made the 90 mile tow yesterday to Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort, which is on the Oregon coast west of Tillamook. We were here last year and made this year’s reservation at that time. We specifically requested this site as it is the site we were on last year and we liked it. To our surprise and disappointment, over the winter they cut down the trees. Now we feel as if we are camping in the street.
This is a very nice RV Park and there are a lot of nice sites, especially in the newer part of the park. But, we like the view of the bay from this site, plus it has a fire ring. Many sites do not have a fire ring. We’ll be here 11 nights.
Funny note: as we pulled in yesterday there was a large Class A ahead of us waiting to register. Turns out they were on the site next to us last year.

Thursday night (October 8) I was at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. Just a qwik inexpensive ($25.00) overnight and in fact never seen it in sunlight, but I would return.

We had a wild wind and rain storm yesterday afternoon and the RV was rockin n rolling as well as the slide toppers banging away. The storm was predicted to go all night with potential gale force winds. So, we decided to move to another site more protected from the wind/rain at the bay front site we were on. Not fun moving in rain and the RV door got the full blast of the wind. I almost could not hold it. But we did move and had a nice, quiet night.

We had been in site 31 right on the bay. Moved to site 62.

We have moved inland to White Salmon, WA on the Columbia River across the river from Hood River, OR. This is Bridge RV Park and a very nice place. We have been here a couple of times in the past. One of the things we like about it here is the RR tracks are just behind us, so we hear trains all the time. We get perhaps 25 trains daily, including two Amtrak’s, one each way. Many RV’ers avoid parks that are close to RR tracks. I guess we are different. We will be here 7 nights.

We also stayed at Bridge RV a couple of years ago. Like you said, very nice and well maintained RV park.
An interesting note is that when we crossed the Columbia River bridge to get to Bridge RV, the route takes you along the Columbia River on a drive that's built along the railroad tracks and just before you get to Bridge RV you have to go under a short tunnel that has height signs that I think said it was 10 foot something. I panicked because we are 13'4".
So I pulled over and waited trying to decide what to do. Then a couple of 18wheelers went around me and right thru the tunnel so I figured it was ok and I too went thru easily. Turns out that since the tunnel has a curved ceiling, the 10 footish measure refers to the sides at the lowest point. The traffic lanes are more to the middle and 13' is no problem. Gee! I wish Bridge RV had told when I made the reservation ;-)

We crossed the river at Hood River. It is a very narrow metal grate bridge. I pull in the driver outside rear view mirror as the lanes are only 9’ wide.

Where are all the Wildcats?
This is the bridge from Hood River to White Salmon. Not too bad in the truck, but stressful when towing the fiver. The lanes are 9’ wide.

Had my first China-bomb blowout 1 hour away from home on day 1 of a 23 day trip. Figured I’d replace them ALL on day 4 (400 miles downstream) where I planned on spending a few days in my old hometown. Sadly, the spare blew 70 miles before I got there. Spouse didn’t want to leave the trailer unattended roadside, so I got to sit on the side of the road for 4 hours while she took the two flats and one good tire (had that side lifted off the ground anyway), plus the two kids and two dogs off to mom’s house. My brother returned with the truck and 3 new tires and a short time later, off we went. After a combined total of 18 National Parks/Monuments/Historic Sites, 4 days in my home town, 4 with my in-laws, 4361 miles, and about 107 hours of driving, we returned home yesterday. Wish I would have listened to the little voice and changed the 2 year old tires before I left...but fortunately that was the biggest calamity.
A related question... where can I purchase those fancy “W”, plastic wheel trim pieces? Anyone know?

We are now in Wellton, AZ. Wellton is way south on I-8, a little east of Yuma and not far from the border of Mexico.
Left White Salmon and stayed in Meridian, ID, Springville, UT, Hurricane, UT and finally Needles, CA before arriving here. We are in Tier Drop RV Park.
Meridian:

Springville:

Hurricane:

Needles:

And here:

We are in the overflow area, FHU’s, 50 amp, for $27/night.
We had planned to leave here tomorrow (Monday) but there is a major cold snap coming into this area. High today here 85. High tomorrow is 66. Along our intended route we would have been in snow and ice the first three days. We are staying here two more nights, and even then we will be below freezing the first two nights, but no precipitation. For example, Roswell, NM is expecting 3” of snow and 26 degrees Tuesday night. Very unusual.

Back to full-timing for work and I commute to/from home on my off days. I’m currently at Texas T campground near Lynville/Cornersville Tennessee. I will remain here until the end of the year when spots open up and I can move closer to Nashville.

Not sure. Our RV friends here have been across recently and their only comment was they had to come back across the border by 2:00. I don’t know why.

Asheville, NC at Bear Creek RV Park. No the VW Jetta did not bring it here. It is a rental car. The Wildcat got here behind an F350 dually thank you Good Sam. My truck is at the local Ford dealer, towed there yesterday, also thank you Good Sam. My truck died on I-40 in downtown Asheville yesterday about noon on what was supposed to be the last day of our summer trip (126 days).
The Ford dealer just called and informed me that the 6.7 Diesel engine needs to be replaced under warranty. Preliminary assessment is that the crankshaft is loose(???). It is a 2018 F350 that I had to buy because my then 2012 F250, with the 6.7 diesel, also blew up. So I am 0/2 with Ford 6.7 diesels. No more Ford diesels for me!!!

There we were, Paradise Ranch RV Resort in Tylertown, MS. We were surrounded by deer in the park. Some even came to eat out of your hand.
Would have mentioned this while we were there but NO WIFI and Very spotty Cell service with T-Mobile there.
If you want to get away from technology this is the place.

DouglasReid: I've heard lots of good things about Paradise Ranch. And to have little phone signal would be really ideal. I want to go there, but I'm kinda full-timing now for work.
