Wildcat Maxx overall size vs current rig

Yesterday, at the local Rv show, we purchased a wildcat maxx F262GRX. Primarily, we were looking to downsize from our older 31' Alpenlite Augusta 31RL model. Today, my wife and I discovered that the new trailer is actually 31' 3" overall length but 26' interior length. I am struggling with am I buying a new trailer that is smaller but same lenght, and will I have issues fitting into state and NF campgrounds due to the size? Has anyone run into this problem, and is it an issue with these campsites? Thx for any help. Worse case, I kill thecdeal as I am to take delivery wednesday.

The numbers in the model number, usually have nothing to do with actual length.
NEVER assume the model number is true length.

This really helps with my concern. My wife and I have been sitting here for the past 2 hours agonizing over do we or don't we. If you are able Walker to fit same slots as your old 25 footer, I feel much better about taking delivery. Can't beat the show price, and that is one of the things making the decision more difficult. Thanks to all for the help.

So, decided to go aheadcand get the Wildcat Maxx. My Alpenlite is almost 20 years old and replacement parts are getting real tough to find. We take delivery Wednesday and are now excited about it. Just need to get rid of some horses now son we can getaway faster and longer!

So I see you got your fifth wheel there was only one thing I had a problem with my landing gear kept blowing a fuse . The fuse is by the motor in the front with the landing gear I replaced that fuse with a automatic reset breaker works great now hope you have fun and enjoy and I have enjoyed mine in September I will have had it for one year and have had lots of short trips close to home and one long trip from the bay area to the state of Washington no problem

We have a Wildcat MAXX travel trailer, not a 5th wheel. This is our second MAXX as we up-sized from a 29' to a 33' trailer. We have been extremely pleased with both our Wildcat's and when it came time to up-size, we only looked at the Wildcat Maxx units and have never been sorry! You'll be pleased you decided to go ahead with the purchase, enjoy your great new RV!!!
