After purchasing a set of the X shocks to try and stabilize my trailer somewhat better than stock, I then realized my tires are too close together to use them. Has anyone else had this problem?
No. Ours were adjustable xchocks. It's possible that they don't make one that will fit your wheels. There are different styles and one of them might fit. Look for a description that tells you what size gap it will fit. Something like this https://smile.amazon.com/BAL-28010-X...6371761&sr=8-4
If you can't find one that fits, you might consider putting bottle jacks under the frame. It's time consuming though.

My tires are very close and I actually have to turn the chocks with the supplied wrench to their tightest position (1-3/8") and then angle the wedges just right to get them in.
But... they fit and work very well.
For me, when camping, they are the first thing in and the last thing out.
