2010 27bhss le

Hi all,

Purchased a 27BHSS this spring and have been enjoying the summer with it... This is our first trailer so have been learning as I go. I'd like to understand what influences the base trailer weight. The dry weight on our trailer is 7000lbs. The brochure indicates 6000lbs. Most other trailers around that size seem to weigh less. Why would this trailer be above average in weight?

Thanks!

Casey

Casey,

I noticed you labeled "2010 27BHSS LE" mine is not an LE but looks like is much lighter than yours. do you have a couple of pics of yoyur TT (trailer)?

I'll see if I can take pics of mine as well. I'm curious to see the difference too.

Pic

Hi Willie,

Thanks for your reply in both threads (my bad). I uploaded a pic of our TT.

I see that you're in California - do you know where yours was built? Ours was built in Oregon and it has a "Northwest Package" - not exactly sure what that is - insulation maybe?

Hmm, that is definitely not the same as ours (similar).
I downloaded this pic from the dealer where we bought from since they have quite a few of the same just like ours (different color on the interior)

we have a cargo door as you can see on the lower bunk... your seems to have two windows on the bedroom, ours has one.

Where are you located?

PS- I fyou want to see more pics of ours here is the link to the dealer.

Also - I believe ours was alos MFG'd in Oregon.....I seem to remember they told us that at the dealer but will find out.

FYI - I couldn't take pics of ours...I don't have enough room on the fence to get a good shot of the side. It's parked in our property.

Got it, did you buy it brand new from a dealer?

It is interesting....but again even though it's the same model just different year, it might be that the design is completely different.

Its built heavier for more off road usage. That was one of the reasons I bought mine, but it looks like my trailer exceeds the towing capacity of my truck.
