29VBUD 30amp main circuit breaker trips

We just up-sized from our 20BHXL Wildwood to a 29VBUD Wildwood and went on our first week long outing. We really enjoyed the extra room and slide but we have one annoying problem we’ll need the dealer to fix. When running the air conditioner on high or low you can’t run the microwave for more then 1’30” or the main 30 amp circuit breaker will trip. The same thing happens when the hot water heater is run on electric cycle. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

You have 30A total to work with. When using high demand appliances you need to manage what is running at the same time. You are using 13-15A running the A/C leaving you about 15A for everything else. Attached is a list of typical RV appliance current demands.

Yes, on my flagstaff with a 15000 btu air conditioner, I usually cannot run the microwave along with the air conditioner in the hot summer without tripping the main.

It all comes down to total wattage/amps.....and your new A/C. microwave, etc may use more than your older RV did.

It's a matter of what you can have on, and thus other stuff must be turned off, to not go over the total amps.

Also the amount of 12 volt DC items you are using at any one time can have an affect on the converter 120 volt AC draw...which is added to the total of amps.

Turning off the hot water heaters electric element will save 12 amps.

These two links will help explain:

Everyone with a large 30 amp trailer has run into this. You will learn what you can use at the same time. With my trailer
Converter 6 amps
Hot water 11 amps
AC 14 amps
Fridge 5 amps
Parasitic draws 4 amps
We don't even both with the microwave in the summer.

We have a 50 amp fifth wheel. That is 100 amps total.

We love COE, state and old campgrounds usually having 30 amp service.

We run two ac units often. Sometimes the DW uses the clothes Dryer.

The DW is the master at load balancing. You have to learn how to do it!
