Battery Disconnect Switch

Hello everyone. We are new to the RV world and I have a question. We recently purchased a 2016 Forest River Heritage Glen Wildwood Lite (model 368RLBHK) 5th wheel. We cannot find the battery disconnect switch anywhere. I have looked online and also reached out to Forest River but haven't heard back from them. Is there a battery disconnect switch for this model and if so can someone tell me where it is located? Thank you.

It's possible that you don't have one.
A battery disconnect switch installed directly on the battery is a better way of disconnecting the battery completely from the rig. Battery disconnects in rigs leave parasitic loads connected that can draw down the battery.
Just remember to turn the battery back on before you tow because it's needed for the brakes.

Welcome to the forum!

Remove the battery box cover and trace the positive, usually red, wire.
If no battery disconnect you can buy and install a battery disconnect switch by cutting the red wire and installing the disconnect between the cut wires. Amazon is a good source for RV battery disconnect switches.

We have a 2016 253RLXL Wildwood X-Lite. It has NO battery disconnect switch.

I did add a 2nd battery and a battery switch of the type shown below.

Moved thread from the General Community Discussion section to the Wildwood sub-forum since the OP's questions are specific to a Wildwood product and not general questions.
