Black tank flush

Our 369bl is brand new and the black tank flush doesn’t work. I keep reading that the vacuum part under bathroom sink is probably backwards. We have switched it and it still doesn’t work. Any ideas?

“… is probably backwards” worries me. The device should be marked with direction of flow. Can you post a pic of it and of your flush hose connection?

What I think it means is that the black piece is correct but perhaps the hoses need swapped? I’m not sure. No pic of ours and honestly I don’t know how to add a pic here lol

It’s not unusual to have the outlet holes in the sprayer connection at the tank get stopped up with trash. The outlet holes (8 or 9) are tiny and it doesn’t take much to block them.

How do you know if this is the case? We’ve never used it. How do you fix it?

Disconnect the line on the output side of the vacuum breaker valve. If you get water flow then you know the fitting is blocked. No flow then disconnect the input side of the valve to verify flow TO the valve. Proceed from there.

Mine cracked recently, dealer replaced under warranty. They told me it was a check valve. Did not have the old part ( I asked for it ). To me it’s an auto vent, I plan to take close ups to find a part number. I looked under that sink ( two screws ) and there was the flush, fresh and city connections. It should come in the bottom and out the side, I believe. Hope this helps

If it's brand new, you need to contact your dealer. You don't want to do anything to void your warranty. In case you don't know, you need to have the black tank valve 'open' when you use the flush.
A black tank flush is something you can live without, at least temporarily. Just make certain you've got the tank at least 2/3 full and fill it up again a second time occasionally when you dump.
