Can't Remove Refrigerator Shelves

I have a 2020 Wildwood X-Lite 241QBXL and the way the refrigerator is installed I can not remove and reposition the shelves. Does anyone else have this issue and if so do you have a solution that doesn't involve removing the door? Thanks!

Wow! Looks like the only option is to remove the fridge door.

Is there enough room on the other side so if the "swing" of the door is reversed it would open enough to allow shelf removal.

If so it would only require door removal once [emoji16]

X2. Removing the door is actually very easy once you get into it.

It does look like it needs to be removed. If the bathroom door was just an inch or so over to the left the refrigerator door might swing wide enough to allow the shelves to be removed. It just stinks because we can't easily reorganize the shelves on the fly.

If I remember right it just a few screws on the top and bottom hinges.

Yes, there is a solution that doesn't involve removing the door. I had to do it to our 2008 Cherokee 38P to get out the crisper drawer that could never be opened.

Unscrew the bracket that keeps the refrigerator from rolling out. Then pull it out just enough to swivel it a little. Then open the door and move the shelves around.

How do you get to this bracket?

On my 2020 Wildwood 171RBXL the door opens into the bathroom but I still can't adjust the shelves because the hinge side of the door hits the bathroom door frame. If the bathroom door was six inches wider I think it would work. Other than not being able to adjust the shelves I love the refrigerator. It is roomy and does a great job cooling and freezing.

The bracket

On the Cherokee 38P, the bracket is a simple angle bracket on the top of the refrigerator, holding it to the back wall. Since it was a deep reach to try to remove the screw that went down into the top of the refrigerator, I removed the one from the wall.

I used two 1/4" drive extenders, a 1/4" screwdriver handle, and a 1/4" hex socket. I put a #2 Robertson bit (square drive, as all RV screws are) into the 1/4" hex socket. Using this scheme, I was able to remove the screw in the wall, and to replace it when finished. We left the drawer out and simply tuck goods into the cavity that remains.

In reading these forums, I have learned that some units use brackets on the floor instead. I seem to remember discussion about removing a trim piece, then either brackets or a wood batten that goes across in front of the casters.

Remember, they made it easy for themselves to assemble it; it should be easy for you to disassemble.
