I'm a new Forest River owner. Back in February my wife and I purchased a Wildwood FSX 170SS. We love the floorpan, the weight and the convenience of camping in an RV. I've had it back to the dealer twice - once for a leaky toilet valve and now for a faulty refrigerator. Hopefully, it'll get fixed soon. My question has to do with the dining table. I noticed from the very beginning that it's very wobbly. It's a u-shaped set-up with two poles supporting the table. I had the dealer look at it and they initially said the poles were not seated well. They messed with it for awhile and finally said "that's just the way it is". I complained that a new trailer should not have that problem. Has anyone dealt with this issue before? If so, what was the solution?
Double pedestal tables aren't the most stable in general, they tend to be tippy side to side, but yours sounds worse than average.
You could try putting a towel on the table top and using a rubber mallet directly over the pedestals to seat everything as firmly as possible. Or, if you aren't going to use it as a bed, have the tops and bottoms of the posts permanently attached to the collars.
