Fresh Water Tank Filling Up on Shore Water??

About to leave for a couple days of enjoyment and had my outside water hose hooked up to the camper. After taking it off, I turned on a faucet and water was coming out. Opened up my low drain and turned on the water pump and water is still coming out. Fresh water tank is full?? I did not put any water in it. Suggestions?

Check valve on your water pump is probably stuck open, and it allows the FW tank to fill while your on "City Water" There is a procedure to try to get the valve unstuck that is usually successful. There is a link on here, but I haven't found it yet.

My major concern is will the fresh water tank overflow or burst from not having anywhere to drain?? Don't want the TT to fill up with water??

Should be an "Over flow" line coming from the tank and usually has a hose attached and runs out the bottom of trailer. That's how most are anyway.

This issue is posted several times a month. This usually resolves the problem.

Disconnect city water.
Turn off water pump
Turn on any faucet and allow water to run until stops.
close faucet.
Turn on water pump
open any faucet and allow water to run for 30 seconds
close faucet and wait for pump to stop.
Turn off water pump
reconnect city water.
This will reseat the back flow valve in the pump. Do not run water pump with city water connected.

There are a few options for fixing it if resetting the pump doesn’t do it:
