Fresh water tank issue
I have a 2020 Forest River park model RV and having trouble with my fresh water tank not working. The tank is full and the pump is running but no water is coming out of the faucets. I used it off and on all winter without any problem. Any advice? Thank you for any help you can offer!

Any chance you switched a winterization valve and it’s trying to suck antifreeze?

Sometimes a pump can get airlocked.
Had the fresh tank run empty?
Do you know for certain the tank has water in it?
The indicator lights could be incorrect.
How long did you leave a faucet open?
Try opening one or more faucets and let it run a minute or so and see if by chance the pump starts pushing water.

We had it stop or run slow when the pump was on, I removed the fill cap and the pump started to work again. I checked out the vent line and found that it had a low spot where it trapped water after filling it. I took a shop vac to the vent line and sucked out the water then rerouted the vent line with no low spot.

Thank you for your reply. I did run the tank empty. I'm sure it is full now as I watched water come out where I had put in the hose. I've tried to open all faucets and let pump run for 3-4 minutes; worried I might burn out the pump? Also, if it is air locked can I fix that??

Our old pump would fail to push water if it lost its prime.
I would have to disconnect the inlet pipe and suck water from the tank to the pump, then quickly reconnect it and the pump would then function.
A new water pump solved my issue.

Most RV pumps like Shurflo are diaphram pumps and won't be hurt by running dry. I'd try priming it at the pump. That usually fixes the problem.

Do you have a gallon jug of water handy? Try to siphon it through your winterization fitting. That will be an easy way to make sure it's pumping properly.
