Gulf Shores Alabama RV Parks

We are looking at going to Gulf Shores for my daughters birthday July 23-30 and we are looking for suggestions on the best RV Campgrounds in that area. We have a 33Ft Wildwood X-lite. Has anyone stayed there and the ones to stay clear of?

My first choice for Gulf Shores would be Gulf State Park. After that the also rans would be Island Retreat RV Park, Doc’s RV Park, and Sugar Sands RV Park which is a relatively new RV Park, and Luxury RV Park. There are a lot of other RV parks in the area but these are the ones I would prefer to stay at. The only one I wouldn’t stay at would be the Southport Campground but to each his own.

As others said, Gulf State Park would be the first choice, but this close to the date, you may have to take whatever you can find. This is the busiest time of year after all.

We spent a couple of winters in Gulf Shores. If you can't get into Gulf State Park Campground, Pandion Ridge is a wonderful campground, with hiking and bike trails that connect directly to Gulf State Park, close to restaurants and entertainment, and less than 10 minutes to the beach.

There’s also Big Lagoon State Park in Pensacola, Florida just minutes away.
