I haven't had a topper put on over the slide out because I see others that are loose and flapping. Why do they get loose and can you do anything to prevent it? How do you make them tight again? Also we camp well into the fall here in northern MN including deer hunting in November. It usually snows and I'm afraid it would put too much weight on the topper.

The newer A&E units have an 'Anti-Billow' device that keeps it from flapping or unrolling when traveling.

If the snow doesn't hurt the slide top, then the awning will be fine.
