We are about to buy a 2013 Wildwood By Forest River 30 FKBS special Edition with king bedeat rear in This is a Canadian Model

My question for Forest River. We I be able to walk on my roof for cleaning purpose

You should be okay as long as you don't have really small feet or plan on clog dancing up there.

I believe that the roof access ladder is rated for 300 lbs so I'd use that as a guideline for the roof. I'd be best to walk around the perimeter than down the middle of the roof if possible.

Dave's point is well-taken.

Just try to locate your steps away from the various cuts, equipment, and seams in the roof (like the A/C, vents, etc.) and avoid unnecessary trips up there and you should be fine. Distributing your weight on all fours is not a bad concept, either. However, I'm about your size and went up and walked around on my roof twice for inspections and/or maintenance purposes this year (always moving about cautiously and without excess...no jumping up and down) and sensed no apparent issues or stresses.

Do they sell rubber-soled snowshoes up there in Canada?

I might add, put the stabs down before getting on the roof. Unless you like walking on a moving target.

I am 225 and try to distribute my weight on all 4s....I do stand some....I make sure I don t set or put a knee over the a/c ducts/canals .... haven t put treatment on the roof yet, as looks new but know it probably needs the protective in the wash.....figured would probably do that in the spring after Fla.....have read that some like the aerospace 303....but sure would not want to be up there after putting that on.....or any other slick treatment.....I have a gallon of BEST Rubber Roof Cleaner & Protectant with UV Blocker to use on it....say will do a 30 footer three times....have read the most important cleaning is to just sweep the pollens and dust/debris off the roof to prevent mold.....course always good to protect against UV....any input on treating to technique for treating appreciated...
Says to wet roof and do small sections and then rinse when entire roof done. Says 6 mo UV protection....this product is what my dealer uses ...
