You should give us more information on "ac continues to run". Are you sure the compressor is running or is it just the fan? Cycle your thermostat through Heat and Cool and stop at FAN. Use + or - key to cycle fan speed from HI to LO to AU for AUTO. In this sitting, the fan only runs when the compressor is told to keep cooling until set temperature is reached.

Re: "hot water heater needs new element" Are you sure? How did you determine that? If it's really ruined, what tips do you need?

No, those don't normally need fixing after just 2 years....do you use your camper a lot?

In our years of camping, we've accepted the fact that fixing things is just a normal part of RV ownership. All the driving causes everything to vibrate/rattle around so screws will come out and things will need to be fixed. I carry a couple of tool boxes, 12-volt air compressor, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, a ladder, and a box of supplies in case I have to fix thing. (Wood glue, extra water pipes, fittings, lubricants, etc.)

Is it worth it? We think so....can't wait to head down to southwest Colorado to enjoy a week in the mountains in a few weeks!

Check your thermostat and make sure it’s set to auto. Hot water elements are very easy to short out if you have the electric set to on inside the water heater panel. If your tank is empty and that switch is on then it will fry the element. They cost next to nothing and easy to replace. Your propane will still work.
