By "fabric"? Are you talking about Coroplast®

https://www.coroplast.com/

If so, that's the way they're built.

Some have a thick woven fabric and some have corrugated plastic screwed underneath the trailer. My 29vt has the corrugated plastic. It’s similar to what a political yard sign is made out of but thicker and heavier.

seems odd as half the bottom has plastic panels but the rest just has the thin loose plastic fabric

According to the FR website, your trailer should have accessible underbelly panels. I didn’t see any mention of a battery switch.

If one exists it will be under the left front corner of the rig on the inside of the frame rail next to the J-Box (Junction Box). Follow your positive (+) battery cable(s) from the battery to find it. Not all towables have a battery switch.

Moved to Wildwood sub-forum since OP is asking for model-specific information.

Not 100% sure, but if the OP's model is from the Northwest region it might not have the AccessiBelly Enclosed Underbelly Panels.

The OP is from Alabama so unless they bought it used, a Northwest region would not be sold east of the Rockies.
