Lighting seems dim

Fourth use of our new 2020 Forest River Wildwood Heritage Glen LTZ 286RL and first in 2 months. Our site has 50 amp service and our Hughes Autoformer surge protector shows all green. Interior lights seem dim. suggestions?

Is the breaker turned on to your converter? I'm assuming that you have seen them brighter in the previous 3 uses. Since the lights work off of 12 volts DC, it's going to be a battery issue of some sort. Can you put a meter on your battery and measure the voltage?

more on lighting

Yes dimmer than before. We have 2 batteries. They were low yesterday evening. I turned off disconnect overnight. Ran truck for an hour prior to leaving today for an about 3 hr. trip to current location. Wall indicator shows batteries low. Shouldn't shore power be charging batteries and provide full 12 v to rv?

Can you answer Joe's first question? Are you sure the converter breaker is on?

If the converter is on and and charging it will power the 12 volt appliances and charge the batteries.

Thanks Bama and Joe. You were right, it was a breaker tripped for converter. Problem solved as long as breaker doesn't trip again soon. I was focused on my inverter that was showing an error.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know what it was.
I'm glad it was something simple.
