Exclamation Loud noise under sink

I woke to a awful sound coming from under the sink on the left which I am not sure what it is I am new to this camping stuff and living in it full time. I have a 2014 wildwood 27rkss. This noise was from the left side of the sink under the countertop! I assume either hot water heater or water pump. HELP PLEASE

Is this noise continuous or does it only occur when running water or perhaps when furnace is running?

In my TT the furnace is under the sink but the noise isn't all that bad. Just sounds --------- like a furnace

Water pumps on the other hand can make quite a racket when running. They're mounted on rubber standoff's and sometimes the installer is in too much of a hurry to properly secure the pump. On mine the screws were through the rubber itself, not the holes provided. Also, the discharge pipe (PEX which is a hard plastic like material) was against the compartment side panel. Sounded like a garbage disposal full of ice cubes when running.

If it's the water pump check to make sure the pump is free to rock back and forth a little in it's rubber mounts. If not perhaps loosening the hold down screws slightly will help. Also make sure that the piping isn't banging on any nearby paneling.

Last thought, since it's under the sink where lots of stuff is stored, make sure it's not just some pots and pans that rattle when something else causes vibration. I use old laundered t-shirts to pad my stacked pots and pans. Keeps them from rattling and also prevents damage to the inside surfaces while traveling down the road. They sell fancy felt pads but I seem to generate old worn out T-shirts that I can cut up for this on a regular basis.

Thanks so much for intelligent and realistic advice. I have been in here Awhile and have never heard this noise. It was so loud it woke me and I hurried and cut everything off. It’s under the countertop and has an access door. I thinking it may be the furnace now because hot water heater is to the back with outside access. I will look in there.

My Wildwood has the water pump placed under the sink on the left side. I suspect first, that you may have a leak somewhere or an open faucet that allows a slow release of pressure which causes the pump to cycle. If the noise is really loud, the pump or its hoses may be loose and vibrating when it cycles. A panel at floor level is held in with screws. Pull the panel and you should be able to reach the pump to check it.

RV furnaces are NOT quiet.
When you hear this noise, is the heat blowing?
On our rig, the furnace is directly below the fridge and fairly close to the bedroom.

The cat doesn’t approve of the noise, but he likes the warmth.

Is the air vent from the fresh water plugged and causing "hammering" when the pump cycles?

I've read through the posts, and can't find out a description of the "noise". maybe I missed it.

You did not mention if it was continuous or intermittent. There have been occasions when the water pump will vibrate loose from the mount and rattle. Look under the sink and let us know what you see. If you see the water pump try to move it. It should be securely mounted.

So was it a one time thing or is it happening over and over again?

You mentioned you've been living in your R/V... have you turned on your furnace recently?... or anything else that you can think of?

What is behind the access door you mentioned?

Ok so I turned everything back on all the breakers and the hot water heater. Turned on a/c and everything is fine. So I am about to turn on heater and see because that’s the only thing I haven’t tried yet. And I did have the heater on last night. Too be continued and thanks for all the help!

That’s what I said in post #8.
Have you ever had the furnace on before?
