Hi all,

I have a 2021 FR wildwood fsx 178bhskx and was wondering about getting a better mattress. The Murphy bed folds the mattress in the middle long way ( from head to toe ) making finding a new and better one all but impossible. One option is to keep the bed down but its nice having the sofa for day use. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

We have a Salem FSK 179DBKX wich, I think, the same Murphy bed. Added a 2 inch foam mattress topper and a mattress pad and the bed is quite comfortable and still folds up easily.

We have a 2022 FR wildwood 178bhsk, currently keeping the stock mattress added a 3" topper and it is quite comfy. A basic issue with the bed is that there is no hard support underneath at the inboard edge and thus it tends to lean downwards. Trying to figure a permanent solution to that, stuffing the sofa armrests under the mattress does not quite fit the bill.

I’m looking for a topper myself, but this “custom king” that FR uses is actually an Olympic queen size. Very hard to find. I might buy a king size and cut it down.
