Mattress for a Forest River 171RBXL

I’ve looked at all the posts about mattresses and toppers, but…. When I measure the platform on my Forest River Wildwood X Lite 171RBXL, mine is 60” wide and 70” long. I cannot find a mattress with those measurements. Am I missing something?

There are others, but on this one you put the measurement in.

Could your RV handle an extra ten inches of mattress length? (standard quesn size)

Mattress

On my Forest River 171RBXL the bed raises up like a Murphy bed with the couch underneath. The max length is 70”.

I have the same model. I haven't replaced the mattress but RV queen sheets 60x74 fit the standard mattress just fin. Are you sure it's 70"

These are some of the common sizes which all seem to be over 70" long. If you have at least $1000-$2000 burning a hole in your pocket you can get literally any size custom made and shipped.

As others have stated, what you are looking for is an RV queen or a 'short' queen. Even Sleep Number offers a 'short queen' that fits an rv base.

Welcome to the forum!

I have an oddball "King" in my rig. I bought a custom sized foam. It fits well, and was about $500. But not the greatest mattress, and the first one they sent was not the correct size. I would not buy from them again. After two seasons, it's already collapsing. CustomMattressFactory.com

Your 70" length is VERY short...even for a Murphy bed. As many others said, 74" is more like it. Double check your measurements before you pull the trigger on a purchase.

I believe he is correct. On my 30 footer, the bed is 69 long by 64 wide. Very oddball. Can't find a mattress anywhere.

69" long???

Perfect size for guests or family you don't want to stay long.
