New Member - 2019 30KQBSS

I just wanted to introduce myself officially.

We just purchased our second unit, we upgraded our 2011 Crossroads Slingshot 29BH to a brand new 2019 Wildwood 30KQBSS. We are excited about the roomier floor plan, big outdoor kitchen and a real bunkhouse in the rear of the unit for our 3 children.

I will be towing this with my 2015 GMC 1500 Denali. (Don't worry I know my limits on towing about 8,500 lbs in a 1/2 ton).

I have been reading through the forum for the past few weeks without posting, just taking in all the information posted. I look forward to participating in this community in the future as it has been very helpful so far.

I have an E2 hitch. I won’t be towing it until the end of April due to the cold here in WNY. My last trailer was about 2k less but the same length from hitch to rear bumper and towed great. I have towed a lot of trailers in the past and I suspect this will be fine. The Denali has a few features like built in sway control and with the friction anti sway on the e2 it will be pretty steady.

I also have a Superchips flashpac and a cold air intake to firm up the shifts and give me some better throttle response and a few more HP running 91 octaine. I don’t do any regular steep inclines but a few here and there. My truck was pretty loaded with extras last year that I don’t need with the ammenties this unit has so total weight will be pretty close.

I tow a 31 ft 7600 GVW with a 1500 Silverado 5.3 and use a Husky Centerline WDH and it tows like a dream. I haven't had it in any real heavy winds but no problem with medium winds and big trucks.

thanks for lifting my confidence, my wdh was a fastway e2 and has negative reviews so I'm on the hunt for a Husky, thanks again

Hello from Ohio. I have the same trailer as you. Same year and everything...lol. My tow vehicle is a 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab. I have an Airlift 1000 kit installed as well. I have an E4 hitch setup.

Mine handles just fine. Would probably tow even better if I put my factory wheels and tires back on but I have 35x12.50x17....lol

I have 33x10.5’s but having Denali 20” wheels I needed more sidewall.. hoping the stiff sidewalk and a higher pressure gives us a siff side to side.
