New rv

We are looking at buying our first rv and not sure what would be a good quality starter. 2017 wildwood heritage glen hyperlite 29bhhl for 20k.

We need help!!!!! Are these good quality trailers? Any complaints or warnings.

We have a Hemisphere. I believe Heritage Glen and Hemisphere come out of the same building. So far our Hemisphere has been good. All units, no matter cost, can have issues from small to major. I'm sure you will get more in put from the forum that will help you.

ive been happy with my heritage glen 5th wheel. I feel the brand is a good value. there are less expensive units built cheaper and more expensive units built better.

Thanks. Do you think the trailer is as good of quality as the 5th wheel?

Is it normal to have the plywood under the popout to be wet or is that a problem sign?

Are you asking about under the slideout?
If so, is the slideout in or out?

Yes under the slide out. We are looking at one to buy. The slide out is out.

Would this be something that we should be weary of buying? It seems solid still but the edge is spongy.

I wouldn't.

If something is wet when your looking at it, I would not buy it...if I did I would be hyper vigilant, because you have a problem somewhere. Also, feel the wood in other places and see if there are other soft spots.

If you got in a 2 year old truck and found water on the floor...would you buy it?

If its wet and spongy already I would move on. That is too new of unit for an issue like that. The slide out might just need an adjustment to stop the leak but the wood could already be compromised. Where are you located? I have a 2017 Wildwood Heritage Glen 300BH and we are upgrading to a fifth wheel this spring!

SPONGY? Run in the other direction. Spongy indicates that something has been leaking for some time. You don't know where that leak is coming from.
Mold could be growing there too.
Replacing the floor under a slide is extremely expensive. Actually, replacing any floor is expensive.

Any spot of spongy/damp floor, wall, or roof on any potential RV purchase,, is an automatic pass for me.
