$508.00 for 4 shipped to my house, and had mounted and balanced at local tire shop, sold the 1 year old Westlakes to a local grass cutter for his utily trailer.
It is also important to ask the date of mfg. on the tire before buying, the busdepot had the best price and tires were mfgd only 4 months earlier.

Goodness, trying to figure out this tire stuff is challenging! I'm glad and very much appreciate all the help offered on this forum!

chinese tires
Hello Mrs. Kumbo!
i must ask if your tires are made in China?
normally the tires that Forest river installes on the campers are of Chinese origin. i can tell you that our 5th wheel camper had only about 1200 miles on it when the first tire "blew" out on us. of course i had a spare ("chinese') tire that i used to change the blown out one. it was very nice to have that option except for the Damage that was incurred on the camper. ( it caused damage to the underneth of the camper and also the floor of the living area. about 200 miles later i lost another tire which (thank God only damaged a little bit of the fender.) I replaced ALL tire as soon as i got to a discount tire company and found the BEST tire available.
i purchased the MAXXIS (m8008 trailer tires) that were in stock that "according" to a search engine and Tire brands was supposed to be the best for Campers.
So far we have approx. 9,000 miles on the tires with NO issues.
this cost me $500.00 for my deductible to repair the camper and of course it is never in factory condition ever again.
Chinese Bomb tires will really tear up your camper.
No matter how much you use your camper it is recommended that you change the tires every 5 years..
best of luck

I just did a search for the Kumho 195 vs 205 and it's surprising just how much more expensive the 195 is, nearly the double the price! Yikes!

Deal Alert...
Discount Tire Direct, already one of if not the cheapest place for these tires, currently has a $100 off of a $400 or more purchase done through eBay/Paypal. They don't offer the Kuhmo's, but both the Maxxis and Marathon's are available in various sizes.
I just recently purchased 225 75 15 D Marathons through them and the tires I received were only a few months old.
I also just purchased the TST 507, and the best price I found was through InfoTech RV Solutions @ $220 shipped (4 sensors). The kit was "drop shipped" straight from TST. My kit was missing a small part, and both InfoTech and TST were all over getting it taken care of FAST.

Yep, it looks like you can order through them. Thanks for the suggestion
Your trailer probably has the same tires as ours, did you get the 195R14 tires?

Cool! With you and @jawga having the same year and similar sized trailers, it sounds like the Hankook 195R14 tires will be the way to go - along with getting a TPMS
Did either of you have to get new rims?

As I have stated several times, I wouldn't pull a camper off the dealer's lot with the LR C factory tires. They may be load rated more than the axles, but the axles will slowly bend if overloaded or mistreated with minor damage to anything but the tires, excluding burnt brgs, etc. whereas a tire blowing will cause major instantaneous damage.

Researching Tire Options for Wildwood 231
yup the rims i got are rated for over 2000lbs also to handle the higher pressure u need the metal valve stems, when i had discount install them they put in the metal valve stem, i also bought the certificate for replacement tires since it was so cheap, take a look at some of my other posts, i show pics of my new tires and rims and also what type of rims and where i got them from, the rims were around $75 each, overall very happy

I hear you, it's not so much whether we get new tires but what kind specific to our rv trailer. The forums contain so much info and sorting through it can be overwhelming but we pretty much figured that new tires are in order

Yep, we currently have the standard white wheel and I figured we'd probably need new rims as well as metal valves

I personally like and have used Goodyear Marathons for over 40 years with not one problem. If LR D are available in your size, that's what I would buy.
