Rim Pressure

Ok Guy's here goes! If you go from a C rated Tire to a D rated tire
how do you determine if the Rims will hold the extra pressure/

Check your rim and see if it is stamped on them. It should be along with the rim size. From what I understand the bolt in style valve stems are rated a little higher as well.

Most "D" rated tires are only going to require 60 psi or so, so rims will be fine. It's when you go over 80 psi you need to start thinking about rim pressure ratings, and high pressure valve stems.

I agree, I wouldn't be worried about it. If it is a 5 lug wheel the wheel will be the limiting factor load wise. A 6 lug or 8 lug wheel will have a higher load capacity.
