I agree but I think the marker lights in general are pretty low level. What kills me more is the bright LED strip a lot awnings have under them, and they’re a garish cool white color, not a nice warm light like they should be, in my opinion. There was a guy in Maine last year with a bright RGB strip on his awning and it cycled all the colors about once a second. It was nauseating to watch.

A yellow scare light by the door, was all I ever needed. And we turned it off once were inside for the evening.

Really don't understand the purpose of having all the running lights on. If you really like that, there are RV parks with street lights.

The other lighting I don't understand are the bright blue lights on the caps of some trailers. Destroys night vision. I get the fun aspect. Please turn them off when you are inside fir the night.

Outside of a campground, have at it. I just get touchy when people are disrespectful of others trying to enjoy their camping experience.

Had one camper across from us recently at a campground who had a mega bright white light outside his door. Left it on all night. It was like being camped under a street light. Wish I had solar I could have made some energy. It must have been a special light because I have never seen one so bright before.

That's why we employ our day/night shades and occasionally a towel over windows in our bedroom. We don't like the morning sun waking us up
The fellow you mentioned probably didn't even realize he was annoying you. A friendly conversation about his light might have helped you relax and educated him.

This is how to do it safely. It's the link to the product on Amazon. I bought one and I love it.

I believe your battery switch has to be on for it to work. Make sure it is on.
In addition, for a more economical version than what’s on Amazon, just get a female receptacle and put a jumper wire between 3 and 4 and plug in your trailer wire when you to activate your marker lights.
We do it occasionally when we are partying, but like others had said, check with your neighbors to make sure you are not bothering them and shut them off when you are done for the night.

Switchable

I mounted an extra 7 pin tow vehicle plug to the tongue of the trailer. It has a two fold purpose. First it keeps dirt and moisture out of the trailer plug when not connected to the tow. Second I ran wires from the #3 and 4 positions on it to a switch inside the trailer. Easy on and off
.
