Smeared seam

Anyone ever had this happen before? Took off cover and several spots were stuck to camper. After finally getting cover off seen how bad the seam got stuck to cover.

Yep, I've seen it. That stuff is more like a "putty" than anything else. On mine when it gets hotter the more "gooey" it gets. I just stab, smear, and push it back into the seams the first year I owned mine. After about a year it all dried up. I don't like covers so I never had it smear everywhere like you did.

Thanks for reply, guess I'll just clean it up and smear back down like you said. Thanks.

I think you could get it cleaned up by the dealer under warranty and re-applied (maybe) but you'll have to deal with it again if it doesn't set up before it completely dries.

I'm not sure what to clean it with, men didn't smear. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I had a few areas with more squished out than elsewhere but nothing as bad as yours. I spent one afternoon just trying to push it back in and make it more uniform all around the front and back corners. When I did a wipe down with NuFinish car polish and a microfiber cloth, it removed pretty easily what was smeared.
