Solar battery maintainer installed
Still need to get a couple screws and nuts to better attach the solar panel but the regulator is mounted and the battery is charging!

3 watt but they make bigger ones. This one fit nicely on my propane cover and the cover top still opens to access the bottle valves. Under $50 for what you see on Amazon

We just installed the WN 200 watt with their upgraded PWM 30 amp controller $315 plus tax and free shipping, for another one of our friends. It took two of us 2 1/2 hours and about $30 in misc hardware plus a tube of self leveling Dicor. Now all she has to do is check battery water twice a year and remember to run her generator once a month, since she will hardly ever need it now that she has solar keeping her batteries topped off.

I would do the same but ~~ no place to mount except the roof and not going that route.

Yes, but no propane cover on 5ers, the tanks are inside a storage compartment or I'd be following your lead with 2 systems, 1 for each battery.

Maybe not Enough
Be aware that you will want to disconnect the trailer from the battery when not in use. I have a much larger solar system, and found that in the winter, it wouldn't keep up with the drain from the propane/CO detector. My trailer draws 5 watts all the time. You don't really need a charge controller for under 10 watts, but it will tell you when you are fully charged. I highly recommend solar panels for battery maintenance.

I have the controller for when I upgrade the panel, I'll be installing a battery disconnect like I did on my prior Salem Le. Thanks for the info
